Grip Lesson

Is your grip synched up…with itself.

Lately I’ve been seeing a lot of golfers with a grip that at first glance looks sound, but when put under close scrutiny, is actually fighting with itself. Not only does your right hand have to be on the club correctly, and your left hand have to be on the club correctly, they have to be on the club correctly in relation to each other. What I’ve been seeing the most of is a right hand grip that is too strong (too far clockwise) in relation to the left hand (figure 3). This causes a “fight” between your hands on the down swing, and while they are busy fighting each other, they have less time to focus on hitting the ball long and straight. Continue Reading »
